Honoring Our Heroes

Honoring Our Heroes: Celebrating Veteran’s Day 2024

Honoring our heroes

Veterans Day is a time for honoring our heroes.

We celebrate and give thanks for the brave men and women who serve (and have served) in our armed forces.

This day, set aside for honoring our heroes, can inspire important life lessons for younger generations.

These are lessons about courage, selflessness, and a love for country which can revive the patriotism that America so desperately needs again.

For the veteran, thank you for bravely doing what you’re called to do so we can safely do what we’re free to do. – Author unknown.

A dear friend sent me this link below.

This is one of the most beautiful versions I have heard of this song and I can’t help but shed a few tears of gratitude when I hear it.

God bless America.

Here is The Battle Hymn of the Republic:

Celebrating Freedom And The Spirit Of America

What Makes America Great

What makes America great

One of the many things I love about this great country we live in is our undying American spirit.

No matter what has happened in the past, the spirit of America continues to live on.

Political and media rhetoric sometimes muddy the waters, and unfortunately, there’s relentless pressure that many things that we hold dear need to change.

Even so, the spirit of our country continues to stand firm. Resilience, hard work, and innovation haven’t gone anywhere.

Celebrating Freedom and The Spirit of America

On Tuesday, July 4th, we celebrate Independence Day. It’s the day set aside to commemorate the birth of our American independence.

We have good reason to celebrate with our loved ones!

This important day isn’t about time off from work, the largest fireworks display, or the best-tasting barbecue.

It’s about respect and love for country.

Patriotism is a good and beautiful thing.

When I see a child waving a little flag during 4th of July celebrations, it makes me smile.

Sometimes I shed tears when I see patriotism in action.

Thoughtful words from friends:

“The American spirit is pride in our country, pride in our forefathers, and their vision for what we could be.

It’s pride in our heritage and history and pride in all our past and present military, without whom the vision of our forefathers would never have been realized.” – Trish M., from Virginia.

Celebrating freedom and the spirit of America

“The American spirit can have a different meaning for everyone, but for me, a few things come to mind.

The American spirit is having the ability to achieve whatever you want to achieve by good, hard, clean work. Decent and honest people who haven’t given up on this country. Brave soldiers, many of whom gave the ultimate sacrifice. Christ, American flags, faith, love, hope, and freedom.
A lot of these, if not most, sets us apart from other countries”. Andrea K., from Arizona.

Our American Heritage

Extraordinary people live in America.

Whether I see them on the news or know them in person, there are people out there who inspire me every day with their strong faith and courage, sometimes under insurmountable odds.

As Americans, we are blessed with an enduring tradition of faith in God and love for country.

We must never forget either.

Ronald Reagan quote

Food for thought going forward.

As the former President stated above, is our country still with God?

It appears we have a choice as a nation.

We can do nothing as atheistic groups continue to try to undermine our country’s Judeo-Christian values, or we can pray for God’s mercy and stand firmly on the grounds of our faith.

I know what I’m going to do.

Will you join me in praying for our country every night?

God bless America and Happy Independence Day!

Rose Among The Thorns

Be The Rose Among The Thorns

Has all the election buildup driven you nuts?

I completely understand.

I’m glad the election is over now. I believe that Donald Trump and his Christian running mate, Mike Pence, can do a lot of good for our country. We need to pray for God’s hedge of protection over America and Israel.

Friends, we have work to do.

First and foremost, no matter who is president, Jesus will always be our glorious King.

The Battle Isn’t Over

We must remain watchful. Haters of Christianity haven’t gone anywhere. Pray for them and shine your light to the world.

Child of God, no one can take away the love God has for you.

His love for you is eternal.

Jesus is coming back for His true believers and that’s why the devil hates us so much.

It doesn’t matter how powerful the enemies of our faith seem, when it comes to God’s enduring protection over His sheep, evil is ultimately powerless.

I’ve seen some of the nasty comments from those who are upset over the election results. It’s sad that people can act that way on social media and television. Even so, we must respond with grace.

Be the rose

Be The Rose

You won’t hear this on the news, but here’s the truth:

  • God is never surprised.
  • His ways are not our ways.
  • His plan is working itself out.
  • There are many lost people in this world. They’ve turned their backs on God and His Word. They’ve bought into man’s vision of a utopia. Pray for them.
  • The spiritual battle rages on. Rely on the power of God.
  • Put on your spiritual armor, the Word of God. Commit His truths to your heart.
  • We will continue to feel the sting of this broken world, but the future Glory is ours.

Remember, we’re just passing through this world.

Be the rose among the thorns.

God Bless America!

The America In My Heart

The America In My Heart That I Will Always Hold Onto

I found this video and wanted to share it with you. It represents everything about America that I love – no matter how much the current culture is trying to change it. America is the best and most beautiful country in the world. Why, oh why, are liberals trying to destroy her?

Tears of Sadness For The America In My Heart

The video is from the Hillsdale College Choir. Did anyone else get goosebumps besides me? Did anyone else have a few tears well up besides me?

I love that video. It’s a masterpiece of images set to one of the most wonderful songs ever written about our great country.

No one can change the fact that our country was founded on Judeo-Christian values. The agenda-promoters can rewrite history and confuse the next generation, but the true facts of our country’s founding remain.

The America in my heart

Wishing you a safe and happy 4th.

God bless you all, God bless America, and stay strong!
