Recently, I heard a new song from one of my favorite Christian recording artists, Cochren and Company.

You may remember that I’ve featured them on this blog before.

The song appears on their newly released “Don’t Lose Hope” debut album which premiered a few weeks ago.

It’s called, “For My Good.”

See what you think.

I love it!

Seriously, I don’t see how anyone can sit still while listening to that song.

The album title, “Don’t Lose Hope,” couldn’t have come at a better time.

These are “uncertain” times – at least to the world, that is.

But, to us as Christians, we know that our victory through Jesus Christ is certain.

100% certain.

No debate, no gateway pundits, no disapproving mainstream media or lost celebrities can force-change that fact.

Gospel truth!

We may be tempted to lose our hope sometimes, but we also know where those temptations come from.

Shut down those negative thoughts before they take hold.

Don’t Lose Hope: We Got This!

Theologian R.C. Sproul once said,

The issue of faith is not so much whether we believe in God, but whether we believe the God we believe in. – R.C. Sproul, theologian, Founder of Ligonier Ministries.1

If that isn’t convicting, I don’t know what is!

Check out these reassuring words from “For My Good” – more closely this time.

Nothing (and no one) can defeat the Great I Am.

Please, don’t lose hope.

Cochren and Company “Who Can” – Powerful New Single

A couple of weeks ago, Cochren and Company released a powerful new single called “Who Can.”

After listening to it several times, I couldn’t help but be drawn to the powerful lyrics.

They seem especially relevant, considering the world is in chaos right now with a pandemic and people of every skin color are hurting and broken.

We need the Lord, and His blessed affirmation that He will forgive us if we sincerely repent and seek Him with all of our hearts.

See if the uplifting lyrics to “Who Can” encourage you this way too.

Stylistically, Michael Cochren’s soulful voice never fails to disappoint.

I became a fan of Cochren & Company in October of last year when I first came across their song, One Day, and started listening to their whole catalog.

Do any of these sound familiar?

What a mess you are!

No, that’s not what I mean.

What a mess we are.

But, as messy as our lives are sometimes, we have a Sovereign God Who can love us like no other.

I delight in God because, like the song says, “I’m a mess, I confess, but You carry me through.”

Cochren and Company Tour

Cochren and Company is touring again, starting in late June with 18 upcoming concerts.

Here’s a fun idea for you to consider. Their first tour date is aboard the Summer Hits Cruise departing Galveston en route to Cozumel, Mexico. The lineup will be incredible. They’ll be sharing the stage with other top-named acts such as TobyMac, Danny Gokey, and Tauren Wells.

After that, the group returns to the States with stops in Ohio and Texas, to name a few of the venues. You can check out all of your opportunities to see Cochren and Company Live here!

Cochren & Company One Day

Everybody loving everybody.

Can you imagine?

There will be no more doubts, or fears, or tears.

No more disappointments or rejections.

No more mainstream media or political parties. 

Is that even possible, or is it wishful thinking?

Here’s the answer, and it’s good news for believers.

It will happen one day . . . when we reach Heaven.

Pain, suffering, and death will no longer exist.

That blessed promise is the timely theme of Cochren & Co.’s new single, “One Day” released last week by Gotee Records.

If you watch the video closely, you’ll see a cameo by well-known Christian hip hop recording artist TobyMac, among others making an appearance.

Speaking of Gotee Records, the independent label was co-founded by TobyMac in 1994, and produced many successful artists since.

Who is Cochren & Co.?

The talented musicians, headed up by singer/songwriter Michael Cochren, officially began touring as Cochren & Co. in 2014, opening up for headliners such as Newsboys, Crowder, and Jeremy Camp.

Here’s what Michael had to say about the group’s new song, “One Day,” which received more than 14,000 views since it premiered last week on YouTube. Impressive!

In 2018, Cochren and Co. signed with Gotee Records. The group’s song, “Church (Take Me Back)”, debuted as a Top Ten Billboard Christian Airplay Hit Single. 

In case you haven’t heard it yet, please listen closely to the lyrics.

It captures a vital truth that the church is not for perfect people, it’s a “shelter for sinners” in need of Jesus.
