There Is Jesus

There Is Jesus

If you haven’t yet heard Zach William’s album, “Rescue Story” from last year, what are you waiting for?

You’ve had a whole year!

I’m just kidding.

But seriously friends, there are so many good songs on there, a couple of which I’ve written about before.

The song I want to feature this time though is,“There Was Jesus.”

I love all of Zach’s songs, and on this one, he teams up with the immensely-talented Dolly Parton.

The song is so good it won a Grammy for “Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song” this year.

Check it out.

There Was Jesus By Zach Williams

Was I right?

It’s the kind of song you want to play again and again.

When I look back at some of the difficult events in my own life, I know there were times back then that I felt alone.

Even so, that was part of my journey of faith.

We are never promised an easy life, nor are we entitled to one.

But  . . .

there is Jesus

After all these years of ups and downs, and knowing what I know now, not only was there Jesus, there IS Jesus!

With you and me.

Right now.

Forever and ever and ever.

Zach Williams’ “Rescue Story”

Zach Williams Rescue Story

Have you heard Zach Williams’ latest album, “Rescue Story”? Released just this month, the album is gaining traction and rave reviews.

“Rescue Story” garnered four out of five stars on Amazon Music and, as of this writing, Zach has over 377,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel.

That’s a lot of fans who appreciate his soulful God-given voice, and songwriting talent.

“The music is about the redemptive Love of Christ – how He alone has redeemed us and given us new life. I pray that the music ministers to your heart!!” 2Zach Williams on Twitter.

Zach Williams’ Rescue Story Album

In our upside down world, Zach Williams’ songs offer messages of hope.

I’ve been a fan of his since his best-selling song, “Old Church Choir” came out three years ago.

My favorite songs on “Rescue Story”?

All of the songs are really good, including the title track, but I have two favorites.

“Face to face” – I’m a big fan of southern gospel music, and this song is a great example. I’ve listened to it over and over. It moves me the same way as MercyMe’s, “I Can Only Imagine.” As Christians saved by grace, the lyrics are an encouraging reminder to us that a blessed time is coming “When we all see Jesus face to face.”

“Baptized” – This song has a special meaning for me. After our tragic family accident many years ago, I had to wear a heavy leg cast on my left leg for three months. I hated that thing even though it was helping my leg heal. During my recovery, it became a goal of mine that, once the leg cast came off, I wanted to be baptized at our church. I would walk with both legs on my own into the baptistry to make a public declaration that I was giving my life to Christ. It’s been over twenty years now, but I still remember that special Sunday.
