Wonderfully Made

What comes to mind when you think of a worm?

Yuck, right?

A creepy-crawly, I-don’t-want-to-step-on-one, icky creature.

Did you know that some people even eat worms?

I know, crazy right?

Take the silkworm, for instance.

If you live in South Korea (and a few other places), you can order your silkworms boiled or steamed.

I won’t show a picture because . . .  gross.

But, before you go thinking that every species of worm is ugly, have you ever seen a picture of a Christmas Tree worm?

In my opinion, these beauties defy all worm definitions.

They’re like the “Cinderellas” of worm species.

Christmas Tree Worms come in a variety of colors too . . . just like the human race.

If you ask me, God’s creation paints a wondrous picture of the magnitude of His love for us. Everything He created is perfect, and beautiful in its own way.

We don’t always understand the purpose for some of these created things, but we’re not God.

God knows, and that’s all that really matters.

We are fearfully and wonderfully made.

So much love, but what does God hate?

All of our sins are ugly, it doesn’t matter what we look like on the outside.

God hates our sin.

Sin is not just breaking God’s laws; it is breaking His heart.” – Adrian Rogers, pastor/author.3

But, God.

23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.Romans 6:23, (NASB).4

Fearfully and Wonderfully Made

Through faith in our salvation through Jesus Christ alone, we are transformed into “new creations.”

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.  – 2 Corinthians 5:17, (NASB).5

As Christians believing in the atoning work of Jesus Christ, we are new creations – how amazing is that?!

We will face many challenges in this rapidly changing world, but God alone will change what’s ugly inside our hearts into something beautiful – a transformed heart.

It happens every day, and all of heaven rejoices.

When God Made You

A Little Cut Here, A Little Cut There

One of my favorite Christmas presents ever is my Cricut Explore Air 2.

Oh, I love that machine!

It took some trial and error, but now that I’ve gotten the hang of it, I’m always thinking about my next creative project.

Here’s one of my first attempts mixing a couple of different free patterns in the Cricut library.

design beginnings

Not bad for a first-timer!

It amazes me how you can design your own patterns too.

Simply adjust the measurements and plug in the extra elements, and the machine blades know exactly what to do.

The cuts are sharp and intricate, even around the most delicate designs.

That’s a smart machine!

But there’s something missing.

This machine can’t just operate on its own. It needs an operator.

God Doesn’t Need Instructions

How devaluing that the world wants us to think we derived from ape ancestors.

You were created by God.

He didn’t need instructions, special blades, a smart machine, measurements or a theorist/geologist telling Him how we should evolve.

The King of Kings created you and me from the beginning.

Do you realize yet how magnificent God is?

The beauty of our anatomy and how everything works together as He planned reflects His glory. We had nothing to do with it.

When God made you

In this oft-quoted verse from the Davidic Psalm 139, the psalmist praises God’s providential design of the human body.

14 I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.Psalm 139:14, (NASB).1

When God Made You

Just how amazing is the human body?

God's design

Only God can do this!

He is Sovereign and worthy of all our praise.

Do we approach Him with the reverence He deserves?

Created by God

Only God Can Design A Butterfly

God created the butterflyDear readers-

I have a few questions for your consideration:

Have you ever looked closely at a butterfly?

The design of a butterflyBeautifully-colored wings that can almost take your breath away.

Or, how about a magnificent Arabian horse?

God's creationBeauty, speed, and stamina personified in one spirited animal.

What about a majestic mountaintop?

A babbling brook?

The waves crashing on the seashore?

created by GodOr, our family and friends who inhabit the earth with us? Where did they come from?

Did they just pop up randomly and insignificantly?

As humans, we are amazingly complex creatures created by God.

God created us

Godless Theories Taught in Schools

We are created by God, who knew us before time even began. That makes us very special in His eyes.

Every time I hear or read about someone pushing the evolution theory, I feel sad for them. They’re elevating a man-made theory above the Word of God.

Have you ever read Psalm 139 in the Bible? It’s one of my favorites. Here’s an excerpt:

For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.[a]
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there was none of them.

 – Psalm 139:13-16, (ESV)1

Isn’t that a beautiful passage from Scripture?

There is a God

How some misguided folks can look at God’s wonderful designs in nature and claim that there’s no God is beyond me.

The theory of evolution has more holes in it than Swiss cheese.

Can a building pop up out of nowhere without an architect, a design, or blueprint?
No.

Evolution – the very secular and Godless theory designed to fool people into thinking that God did not create the universe.

We need to pray for our evolution-believing brothers and sisters.
Amen?

Amen!

Unfortunately, as a result of their disbelief in God, they are misleading many people.

We can pray for them and also praise the Lord for another day to embrace God’s goodness!
