Thankfulness – Living A Life That Honors God

The other day, my husband and I watched a few video tapes (VHS no less) from my former television career.

Wait – how old am I?

LOL!

The memories came flooding back like they were yesterday, even though the videos were from the 1980’s.

We watched a couple of the audition tapes and some hilarious bloopers that are still remembered to this day.

A lot of time has passed since then.

Never in a million years did I guess that my life would turn out like it has.

Looking back, it’s been a long journey.

Who knew that instead of chasing news stories, reading the Bible and following Jesus have become the focal points of my life.

I realize now how important it is to treasure God’s Word in my heart, and to learn from its wisdom.

An unnamed poet once wrote, 

Lord, may our lips and lives express
The blessed gospel we profess;
So let our works and virtues shine
And speak of Him who is divine.

Living a life that honors God can be a glimmer of hope in our increasingly dark world.

There is a difference, and the world is watching.

I pray that your thirst for spreading the Gospel will increase.

May we all feel emboldened to share our stories of faith in order to uplift and encourage those around us.
