Will We Get Through This?

will we get through this

Will We Get Through This Election?

Political signs are everywhere.

“This is exciting!”- said no one ever.

Please tell me, is it over yet?

In just a little over a month, the big Election dominating the headlines will come to a close.

Will we get through this?

You bet we will.

No matter what the outcome is – as Christians, we will get through this.

Why?

Because God is on our side.

I’m not talking about our political affiliation here.

I’m talking about our salvation through Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

A World in Need of God

God is not the God who thinks, “Gee, I wonder what man will do next?”

Nothing is a surprise to Him.

All of our future sufferings, political frustrations, and dismay over the world’s backslide into darkness are only temporary.

In Romans 8:18, the apostle Paul’s words instill a reminder of the timeless hope we have in Jesus Christ.

Romans 8:18

Undescribable gloryThat glory the apostle talks about – God’s indescribable majesty – will outshine any suffering we are experiencing in our current battles.

Nothing and I mean nothing, will compare to seeing His glory.

As Christians, when we finally get to witness it, we will understand the journey.

Jesus Already Took the Wheel

The spiritual battle rages on.

Now is not the time to let abrasive social media posts get the best of you.

Don’t fall for the bait to argue.

No matter who wins this election, God is always in control.

Not the Republicans, and not the Democrats.

“What virus?”

Don’t you long for that day?

I am so grateful that we can escape all of this chaos some day at God’s appointed time, aren’t you?

If you profess your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior, you too will be with Him in Heaven when the rapture comes “like a thief in the night.”

16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.1 Thessalonians 4:16-18. (NASB).

The godless will be left behind.

Are we ready for the next prophetic and historical event to take place?

Don’t get caught up in date-setting, just be ready.

Will We Get Through This?

Please turn off the 24/7 news and try to spend time encouraged by the Word of God.

We could hide out in our homes, scared of a virus, fearing what disaster is coming next.

Or, we can remember Who our God is.

I’ll take the “Who” anytime.

I like what Pastor Farag says about this, essentially the wrath of man (so evident in our crazy world), will always backfire. God will have the last word.  Always did and always will.

God is always good and He will get us through.

He never breaks His promises.

God will see you through  – no matter how bad it is, or no matter how bad it gets. I promise you that, on the authority of who God is and how good God is. It doesn’t matter how bad it is. It only matters that God is always good. – Pastor J.D. Farag, Calvary Chapel, Kaneohe.2

Saving Your Children From an Atheistic World

Saving Your Children From an Atheistic World

Our nation’s children are in the crosshairs. Political correctness and the destruction of family values rule the day (in big part, on television and in our public schools and universities.)

Saving your Children from an unbelieving world

It’s a very real problem, and it will catch up with us.

The “grace period” we’re living in now won’t last forever.

Some people may delude themselves into thinking “none of it affects me personally, so I don’t care.”

They are in for a wake-up call.

Do you avoid watching the news? New assaults on our freedoms occur every day.

And now, discouraging news about the internet. Our national leaders have given up control of this global network. It’s sad where this relinquishment could lead, especially in the wrong hands.

There will come a time when Christian websites will be forcibly shut down. What a sad day that will be.

The Problem With Apathy

businesses shut down

All authentic Christians will feel the effects of persecution, whether it be happening to someone we know or to ourselves.

For some Christians, their businesses will or have already been shut down. (or they could lose their jobs.)

For others, they may see their beloved church silenced because authentic Biblical teaching offends atheists.

Some churches will regrettably choose to water down the gospel, rather than preach about sin and the availability of God’s forgiveness.

In some public schools and universities, kids will be forced to reject God in the classroom.

Does anyone out there think God will put up with this nonsense forever?

Assurance That God is Always in Control

The assurance we have over evil is that Christians are never completely silenced. It’s impossible.

God’s got this.

A blessed remnant of believers will spread the good news of salvation, no matter what global leaders try to do to quash it. God’s Word will get out and many people, thank the Lord, will be saved because of it.

God’s will for humanity is unfolding before our very eyes. There is a blessed outcome to this temporary suffering. God allows the suffering, but there’s an eternal way out.

America is in a Huge Mess

Until the Rapture, believers will witness a lot of trouble in our world.

What can we do about it? Here are some options.

2016 upcoming election– Christians must vote in the upcoming election. The build-up to this circus is something I never thought I would ever see in my life. It borders on the absurd. I was hoping for better choices. Regardless, these are the two options that we have, and God has allowed it.

I believe in the sanctity of life and my choice is for the pro-life candidate. That’s it. Liberal celebrities don’t impress me or sway my vote. I will not stay home and sit this election out. If you’re on the fence about your vote, please check out the article linked in this sentence.

Now Is Not the Time for Apathy

Apathy helps no one. That’s a big reason our country is in the state that it’s in. We need supreme court judges to protect the babies and uphold the Constitution; we need intelligent people surrounding our president, plus a Christian running mate like Mike Pence is, at least, a positive sign for me. No matter who wins, the only One who can ultimately fix any of this mess is God, when and how He decides to do it. The Bible tells us what happens in the end.

– Please actively pray for our nation. Parents should pray with their children that America will remain a Christian nation.

How?

One example is you can add a request at the end of the “Grace” prayer you say before eating a meal.

For example:

Heavenly Father, we ask that You

will protect our nation

and our family

against evil.

Kids need to hear that (or something like it) from the mouths of the parents they love. Kids are in the spiritual battle just as much as we are. Would you send them out unprepared? Of course not.

My husband and I say grace before we eat out at a restaurant. I encourage you to do the same. It’s a small thing, but it’s a powerful witness. God’s people praying. I’m seeing people saying grace together a lot.

Keep a Watchful Eye on Your Child’s School

Many parents don’t realize what’s up ahead for their children in public schools. I won’t share the headlines here; it’s too disturbing and a joy killer. You can find the news yourselves if you search. These agendas include wanting to change our words, grammar, and pronouns. Pronouns like “he” and “she” offend some people.

FACT: God created us in His image. Newly born, we are precious to Him. None of us should ever be classified as an “it.”

saving-our-children-in-public-schools

What is happening in public schools in many states is highly offensive. It’s not just the Common Core nonsense. Maybe you’re in a state that has escaped that initiative, but there’s much more happening in schools regarding sex education that will make your head spin around.

Involving yourself in your children’s school is vital. Deprogram them from anything that is anti-God. Equip them how to answer when challenged about their faith.

Lord, we desperately need your mercy.

Give us discerning wisdom and guide us

how to protect our children.

Helpful Resources

There are “equipping” websites that can guide you with parental resources readily available to prepare your children for the apostasy to come. If you’re actively attending a Bible-believing church, there may be resources in the church library as well.

Here are three additional options:

http://www.moodymedia.org/resource-library/parenting/

http://www.focusonthefamily.com/parenting

http://www.familylife.com/articles/topics/parenting/essentials/praying-for-your-children

Do you have any other ideas on how to spare your children from an unbelieving and defiant world? Discussing these things with your spouse and/or family is important.

Our Incomparable Father

No matter what, God’s divine providence is exactly on track. The temporary setbacks to our Christian faith are only temporary and of this world.

No one knows the timing when Jesus will return. We can only watch for signs of His coming and discern the false teachers.

America needs God, not the other way around. As horrible and deceptive as a one world government will be, we have a God who loves us and promises to spare us from the worst of it at the rapture of His church.

Pray for opportunities to share your story.

God bless you.

May everything you do, glorify Him.

Remembering September 11th

Remembering September 11th

Remembering September 11I remember waking up that September 11th morning in 2001. I turned on the news like I always did while getting ready for work. The news anchors were talking about a “small” plane that had crashed into the World Trade Center, but details were very, very sketchy.

I had an ominous feeling about the whole thing, but headed off to work as usual. Fortunately, I had a job at the time where I could work while the TV was on in the background. My boss was away on a trip so I had the whole office to myself.

I turned on the TV and I could tell from the news reports that the alleged small plane “accident” at the WTC was much, much more. I stopped what I was doing and spent the next hour glued to the TV.

It gets me emotional just thinking about it. My boss called me a short while later to ask if I’d heard about the attacks and that I could go home. I called my husband and his whole office was talking about it too.

I begged him to come home and he said the office would probably let them go soon.

The dread and reality of a terrorist attack on U.S. soil finally sunk in and made me sick to my stomach. I drove back home in shock, probably like everyone else in the world, and turned the TV back on.

Feeling Helpless

I was thankful I had our dogs with me until my husband got home. I just felt helpless. There was nothing to do except to watch and pray.

This can’t happen in America. Any belief I had of feeling safe in the greatest country in the world was shattered that dark day.

The images of people jumping off the towers were horrific and unforgettable. For those people to have to make that awful choice – I can’t even go there in my mind.

Dear God, what is happening? Please let this be a nightmare.

My husband got home and I remember we didn’t say much. There was just a numb feeling, a deep sadness, like at a funeral of someone you hold dear. Later that evening, we took a walk around our neighborhood like we always did when the sun was setting.

But that evening was different.

We lived about 15 minutes from the airport and there were no planes in the sky.

I cried that day, and for days afterwards.

I will never, ever forget.

thank you first responders

A Big Thank You

On this day of remembrance, I want to thank all of the first responders who risked their own lives to save others and continue to do so.

A thank you also to the loyal and brave service dogs and their trainers who were instrumental in all of the recovery efforts.

I pray this will never happen again, but I believe we’ve been betrayed but those in high office who promised to protect us and our freedoms. Ultimately, this is a spiritual battle and we need to pray for our country.

I pray that God will heal our land. One look at the news every night and it doesn’t look good. Satan is prowling around and the influence of the evil one is everywhere…in high political offices, in public school curriculum, in some churches, the list goes on.

September 11thWe are at a crucial time in our nation’s history. God has allowed some major wake-up calls and there will be more. Biblical prophecies always come true.

Are You Prepared?

I know I’ve said this before, but I believe some people still think that none of these world events going on will affect them.

It will. Pay close attention to some of the national meetings taking place later this month.

America is in deep, deep trouble.

I encourage you to read the Book of Revelation with a good commentary. Pastors John MacArthur and Dr. Robert Jeffress have excellent teachings on the events to come. You can find their teachings in video and written form simply by doing an online search.

Our only hope is in God and salvation through Jesus Christ. If your faith is lukewarm or nonexistent, please don’t put off THE most important decision in your life.

Nothing and I mean nothing is more important than making sure yours and your family’s faith is in Jesus Christ.

Stay strong and faithful and God bless you all!
