Nature Reflects God’s Creativity
How Nature Reflects God’s Creativity
Is it just me, or is this allergy season the worst?
I think I might get an award this year for having the most sneezes in a single day.
Even though my eyes are watering and I’m sneezing my head off, I have to admit that I really do love this time of year.
The grass is a bright green, flowers are blooming everywhere, and the beginning of Summer is just a week away.
Who can resist being captivated by these stunning colors in nature?
Whether it’s the biggest flower in the world or even the smallest, the breathtaking varieties of flowers on this planet are just a small part of “. . . the work of His hands.”
While we’re on the subject, can you name the world’s largest individual flower?
Presenting the “Rafflesia arnoldii” which can grow up to 3 feet across.
“Three feet across” is the approximate length of an acoustic guitar!

Now that’s a big flower!
You can’t miss it the next time you’re walking in a Sumatran rainforest.
It may not be the prettiest flower, or even smell the best, but it’s impressive none the less.
How about the world’s smallest flower?
Check out the Wolffia globosa below.
The leaf in this pond looks gigantic next to these small flowering plants.

Evidence of God’s design and purposes? Absolutely!
The flowers presented above are just a couple of examples of how nature reflects God’s creativity.
2 Great are the works of the Lord;
They are studied by all who delight in them.
3 Splendid and majestic is His work,
And His righteousness endures forever.
4 He has made His wonders to be remembered;
The Lord is gracious and compassionate. – Psalm 111:2-4 (NASB).2
Something to think about when we admire the beauty of a flower.
God’s Creativity – Artistry Beyond Imagination
God likes variety—more variety than we can fully appreciate, even if we had multiple lifetimes to investigate His creation! Here are two proofs: 1) Scripture shows that variety matches God’s divine nature and how He made mankind in His own image, and 2) God’s physical non-human creation shows that God supernaturally selected and favors variety.

The variety of flowers and other captivating natural wonders are a gift for the eyes – providing us a delightful touch of joy in a world that grows increasingly dark.
