Happy Resurrection Sunday 2026

On this Resurrection Sunday 2026, (and for that matter every single day) we have reason to rejoice!

God sent us His Son Jesus who rose victoriously from the Cross.

Here, the apostle Peter shares the beautiful promise that is ours as believers in salvation through Jesus.

³Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, ⁴to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable, undefiled, and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, ⁵who are protected by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. – 1 Peter 1:3-5, (NASB).¹

God is Sovereign and All-Powerful.

Christ’s resurrection, so long ago and yet the cornerstone of our faith throughout the ages, is proof that we will share in this victory over death.

Why is the resurrection of Jesus Christ important?

It proves who Jesus is. It demonstrates that God accepted Jesus’ sacrifice on our behalf. It shows that God has the power to raise us from the dead. It guarantees that the bodies of those who believe in Christ will not remain dead but will be resurrected unto eternal life. – gotquestions.org.²
