It’s Important That You Know This

Your Faith – It’s Important That You Know This

It's important that you know this

It’s important that you know this – God loves you, and He always will.

Even when your life is difficult at times, You are not truly alone.

God isn’t going anywhere.

Who is man to deserve such a loving Heavenly Father?

It’s hard to even imagine the depths of God’s love.

Through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross we are redeemed from the eternal punishment that we rightly deserve.

This beautiful quote from Joni Eareckson Tada is filled with encouragement . . .

There is a word that marks the love of Christ, and that is excessive. His love for you overflows all reason, all expectations, all your hopes and dreams. For Christ to lay down his life for you tells you that his covenant is no schoolboy pledge or head-of-state agreement or legal contract. Christ’s love is riddled with powerful emotion. For him to die for you is for him to be delighted in you.
Let Christ’s passion for you stir the depths of your yearnings for him. Let yourself be drawn to him today, not only because of his sacrifice for your sin but because of his desire for your soul. – Joni Eareckson Tada, Christian author and CEO of Joni and Friends1

We are His children, and even though we often fail Him, He offers us forgiveness. There is no love more pure or greater than His.

Recently, I came across a poem that captures the unwavering nature of God’s love for us. With a huge thank you to Deborah Ann Belka, I’m happy to share it here.

No Other One

I know no other Savior,
no other who would forgive
nor collect in His bottle
the tears I have to give.

I know no other Shepherd,
no other to show the way
nor when I am in the valley
listen to what I have to say.

I know no other Lamb,
no other who peace brings
nor one who can lead me
to those life giving springs.

I know no other Light,
no other shines so clear
nor one when I am afraid
can take away my fear.

I know no other Creator,
no other with the skill
nor one who loves me
like I know He always will.

I know no other God,
no other one has come before
nor one who’ll come after . . .
for my God is forever more!

1 Kings 8:60

may know that the Lord is God,
and that there is none else.

He knows us inside and out, the good and the bad, and yet, offers us infinite grace and compassion.

Thank You, Heavenly Father

for who You are, and that You so deeply care for us

May our lives be a shining reflection

of Your goodness and mercy

to those around us.

How Much God Loves You and Me

How Much God Loves You and Me – A Divine Blessing

A few weeks ago, my husband and I purchased a new car.

We bought an SUV that has backup cameras – suhweet!

Of course I wanted to test those out before hitting the open road. After driving around a bit, we went to a nearby vacant school parking lot.

I practiced over and over pulling in and out of those thin parking spaces.

My husband was very patient during this test drive although I think he may have pressed his “air breaks” a few times. Lol.

While we were there at the school, we watched another car pull in doing the same thing we were. It was a father and his teenage daughter.

She was behind the wheel and we could see him patiently coaching her. After a few times, they drove off into a nearby neighborhood and then came back so she could practice parking again.

It was a sweet moment and brought back fond memories of my own dad teaching me how to drive.

The love of a father for his child – it’s a beautiful thing to see.

Have you ever stopped to think how much God loves you and me?

I’m reminded me of the beloved verse, John 3:16.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.John 3:16, (NASB).

Just how much does He love you?

He sent us His only Son to die on the Cross for our sins.

Jesus paid our penalty so that by, accepting Him as Savior, we can have eternal life in the presence of our Holy God.

For that incomprehensible gift of salvation, we should spend our lives in a way that honors and glorifies Him.

In the midst of life’s storms, we can hold fast to God’s promises.

He is always with us, guiding us, and loving us with a love that surpasses all understanding.

When Your Remarkable Happens

Hey, good lookin’!

I’m talking about you.

Are you feeling out of sorts?

It’s okay.

We all feel that way sometimes.

My go-to when it happens to me is listening to Christian music.

Whether you prefer contemporary praise songs, Christian rap, or country gospel, it doesn’t matter.

God doesn’t care how well you sing or whether your singing is good enough to end up on “The Voice.”

Singing Praises To God Is Worship

Praising God through song is worship.

He is listening to you, no matter how off pitch you are.   😉

I’ve sung in choirs since 1997, and it is an absolute joy.

Here’s one song that I love, and I wanted to share it with you now.

The song reflects Psalm 139 which talks about God knowing you before the beginning of time.

Before you were even created, He already had you in mind.

Don’t you love children’s choirs?

Go to a quiet place, close your eyes, turn your sound up, and feel the Father’s love.

I hope you enjoy.

When life gets you down, it’s only human to feel overwhelmed and sideways.

But, don’t stay in that place for long.

God knows your every step before you even get out of bed.

When you’ve had a night of worrying about tomorrows, please remember you can find peace in reading God’s Word.

Trust Him through your circumstances.

*Learn to trust God in everything, to turn from sin and walk in obedience, to endure His reproving and chastening and refining, do what is good, walk in the Spirit, let your commitment to the Lord come from the inside out, not the outside alone.  Live by the Word of God in a righteous way.  And pray and seek peace.  This will restore your peace. – Pastor John MacArthur, from Grace To You.

Wake Up, Sleepyhead!

Get ready to approach each day with confidence knowing that, as one of His beloved children, God’s plan of salvation is remarkable.

When your remarkable happens

When God blesses you, shine His light to the world and show your gratitude.

If you know of anyone who needs this encouragement today, please feel free to share this post.

Blessings!

Trust In The Lord Even When You Hurt

Trust in the Lord Even When You Hurt

It can be hard to trust in the Lord when you feel like your life is falling apart.

trust in the Lord even when it hurtsBad things happen.

  • A car plows into your vehicle and sends you to the hospital.
  • Your spouse says he or she has had an affair.
  • A friend is given a cancer diagnosis.
  • Your teenager is addicted to drugs.

These are huge wake-up calls and this small list doesn’t even cover what some of your friends and family may be going through.

It hurts a lot sometimes.

In my own family, there’s divorce, the loss of a child, the loss of a job, health concerns, and atheism.

Difficult questions come to mind when you wake up and get some bad news.

Where are you, God?

Don’t You care about me?

What did I do to deserve this?

When Did Life Get So Out of Control?

The hard fact is, no one ever promised us an easy life without cares and concerns. In the book of James 1:2-4, Scripture tells us that we’ll experience various trials.

Notice that the word “trials” is in its plural form.

And yet, we are still told to trust Him.

There was no exception to that command.

The Bible doesn’t say, “Trust in the Lord, except when __________(fill in the blanks with your particular circumstance.)

Is unshakeable trust in God an easy thing to have?

We’d like to think so, but not always. We’re not perfect. We have the very human, knee jerk, “fix it now” mentality and can rush headlong into finding a quick solution, all the while forgetting to pray and ask God for His strength and guidance to see us through.

God Loves usAlways Remember, He Loves Us

The wonderful truth is that God loves you. Nothing or no one can take that away from you. You are His child.

He knows your past, present, and future. For His reasons alone, He allows certain things to take place in our lives.

God may appear to be silent at times, but you and me have to trust Him and that means in good times and in bad. If we pray or even talk to Him quietly in our thoughts, He will listen.

A Christian Perspective From Georgia

I asked a good friend of mine about her favorite Bible verse. Kim M. from Georgia chose Proverbs 3:5-6.

*Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make straight your paths.

missing puzzle piecesHere’s what Kim had to say about why this verse means so much to her:

“Our understanding and logic is not the same as God’s. We work hard to put things in a way that seems logical to us, only to find that there is always that piece or something that is missing. With God, He can see the whole picture so there are no missing pieces. If we place God in charge instead of us trying to be in charge, all of the pieces will fall into place, in accordance to His will and His timing. Trust God completely.”

That is so true.

Learning to Cope

How can you learn endurance to get through the hard times? There are a lot of options.

  • Pray. God is listening.
  • You can read and memorize Scripture, especially the verses that encourage you the most.
  • You can listen to some great Christian music. I have links to some great contemporary artists on this website.
  • You can attend a Men or Women’s Bible study. Once there, you can meet some of the most amazing people who have struggles of their own. The friendships often become lifelong.
  • You can help someone less fortunate than yourself. As sad as you may feel about some of your own trials, there’s always someone who is worse off than you. That will help with your perspective.
  • Lastly, you can get together with some of your Christian friends. You can lift each other up with support and love. Some day, all Christians will be in Heaven together where there is no more suffering and sadness.

That will be a very happy day.
