Never A Moment Late

Never a Moment Late: Trusting God’s Timing

Patience on hold

Have you ever tried to call a major airline or phone carrier and been put “on hold” for what seems like forever?

Waiting . . . waiting . . . waiting . . .

What’s worse is that you have no control in how long the waiting will take.

It’s frustrating, right?

“Waiting” is something we’re not really used to anymore.

In our now fast-paced world, new technologies often enable instant gratification.

However, that expectation is not realistic where faith is concerned.

You’ve heard it before: “God’s timing is not our timing”.

It’s a difficult lesson to live by, but we have to let God work out His will for our lives, no matter how long it takes.

In Psalm 27:14, David serves this blessed reminder as he experienced his own period of waiting on God . . .

Never a moment late

The Lord’s timing is perfect and He’s never a moment late.

Don’t give up!

Keep praying and trusting – God never fails.

Those times when you feel like quitting can be times of great opportunity, for God uses your troubles to help you grow. Warren Wiersbe, Moody Bible Church.1

God’s timing always works for the greater good.

Never a Moment Late: God’s Perfect Timing

Are you going through a tough period of waiting?

Bring everything to the Lord in prayer.

It’s important to realize that He will strengthen you if you just ask.

With that in mind, the following poem is a recent discovery.

I hope it encourages you like it does me.

Do You Trust Me?

Do you trust me
When things aren’t going right,

When life deals some painful blows,

When finances are awfully tight?

Do you trust me

When tragedy comes your way,

When you don’t get all the answers

When you bend
your knee to pray?

Do you trust me

When friends don’t understand,

When there’s no one you can talk to,

No one to hold your hand?

Do you trust me

When there’s warring in your soul,

When there’s darkness all around you

And you’re left out in the cold?

Do you trust me

When evil is against you,

When there’s nowhere left to run

And you can’t find the truth?

Do you trust me?
I need to ask you this,
‘Cause you don’t always know

I’m there in the midst

Of all your tribulations,

Everything that you go through,

I am always there, my child,

And I will never leave you

So I must ask of you

To see if you believe,

No matter what you face in life,

You must always trust in me.

From Self-Centered to God-Centered

From Self-Centered to God-Centered

From self-centered to God-centered

Lord, we humbly ask You
for a revival of hearts and minds.

If you’ve glanced at the news headlines lately, is it any wonder that we live in a sinful world?

Which begs the question: is it too late for our nation to turn back to God?

First, we must repent of our sins and remember that God brought us life-saving grace through the name which is above every other name, Jesus Christ.

This is the Gospel’s good news that can change lives, even in the darkest of places.

A necessary pre-cursor of any great spiritual awakening is a spirit of deep humiliation growing out of a consciousness of sin, and fresh revelation of the holiness and power and glory of God.

John Raleigh Mott, American evangelist.1

Nationwide repentance can transform us from having lives that are self-centered to God-centered.

I don’t know about you, but I am praying for a revival and, if it is in God’s providence, that it will happen soon.

To God be the Glory!

Do you need inspiration for your own spiritual revival prayer request?

The following poem inspired me so I’m eager to share.

We Need A Revival

Lord, we need a revival,

a head bobbing, banner raising

hand clapping, foot stomping
Holy Spirit filled revival.

Lord we need an awakening,

a gospel preaching, heart turning

sin repenting, life changing
Holy Spirit filled awakening.

Lord we need a quickening,

a daily living, life-long giving
fruit bearing, love sharing

Holy Spirit filled quickening.

Lord, we need a renewal,

a world reaching, grace saving
thirst quenching, mind drenching

Holy Spirit filled renewal.

Lord, we need a revival,

a roof raising, earthshaking
God-fearing, soul saving

Holy Spirit filled revival!

Consider Him

Consider Him, Seek God First

Recently, I came across a poem that touched my heart and I wanted to share it with you.

The title is: “Consider Him.”

Consider HimThe author of “Consider Him” is unknown.

Who knows how old this poem is, but the message is timeless.

I think about some of the heartaches my husband and I have gone through.

Family members and friends have experienced difficult challenges.

There is comfort in sharing our prayer requests with each other.

Please don’t feel like you’re burdening someone when you ask for prayer.

Encourage each other when times are tough.

God places genuine people (prayer warriors) in our lives, if we just know where to look.

That is a heavenly mindset – focus on what is above and always seek God first.

Consider Him

When the storm is raging high,

When the tempest rends the sky,

When my eyes with tears are dim,

Then, my soul, consider Him.

When my plans are in the dust,

When my dearest hopes are crushed,

When is passed each foolish whim,

Then, my soul, consider Him.

When with dearest friends I part,

When deep sorrow fills my heart,

When pain racks each weary limb,

Then, my soul, consider Him.

When I track my weary way,

When fresh trials come each day,

When my faith and hope are dim,

Then, my soul, consider Him.

Clouds or sunshine,
dark or bright,

Evening shades or morning light,

When my cup flows o’er the brim,

Then, my soul, consider Him.

God’s Grand Design

God’s Grand Design Included You

Consider this question:

What do you have in common with the moon and the stars?

The answer to that is the most fantastic news imaginable – God’s Grand Design . . . included you and me.

To think that our Creator God, who fashioned the sun, the moon and the stars, trillions of galaxies, the animals – and in every sense – all of creation, would care about us!

Mind-blowing and humbling to say the least.

A thank you to Deborah Ann Belka for writing the following poem that brilliantly captures the essence of God’s gift.

Every day that we have breath in our bodies, we have reason to praise the One who gave us life.

I Stand In Awe

Father, when I think of the things,
with Your fingers You have done
I stand in complete awe . . .
over each and every one.

When I ponder the heavens,
the vastness of the space above
I stand in total awe . . .
by the magnitude of Your love.

When I peer into the sky,
gaze upon the stars and moon
I stand in awaiting awe . . .
Jesus will come again soon.

When I reflect on the universe,
how endless it seems to be
I am in utter awe . . .
You even thought to create me.

Oh, Father when I consider,
all the things You have done
I stand in everlasting awe . . .
for the gift of Your Son!

Psalm 8:3-4

“When I consider thy heavens,
the work of thy fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which thou hast ordained;

What is man, that thou art
mindful of him?
and the son of man,
that thou visitest him?”

From Talents To Testimonies

From Talents to Testimonies: Reflect God’s Light

My favorite ministry ever was at a former church we belonged to when we first moved to Texas.

The ministry was called “Outside These Walls.”

From talents to testimonies

A group of us would volunteer on the weekends to sing gospel and country songs to the residents of nursing homes around town. My husband would bring along his guitar to accompany us.

The joy expressed on the faces of the elderly residents was a priceless memory.

Don’t you love bringing joy to other people?

What a fantastic way to share love with these precious senior adults who often feel isolated from the outside world.

Singing is just one idea.

Using our God-given abilities and talents

From talents to testimonies – sharing your spiritual abilities and stories help to reflect God’s glory to the world.

I read a poem recently that encourages all of us to do the same in our own spiritual walks.

Arise, Woman Of God

Rise up, O woman of God
In what He has given you,
The things God has laid on your heart,
Rise up, go forth, and do

Unlock what God has placed within,
The potential you have inside
The world is waiting for your release
To expand your wings and fly

Arise in your God-given gifts
For this is your finest hour
Arise in the Lord’s holy might,
Ignited and empowered

For God is calling you to come forth
To impact this world for Him,
Don’t hold back or limit yourself
Let His power arise within

And take His message to the world
To those that have lost their way,
For you can surely make a difference
If you’d hear His voice and obey

You shall be strengthened in the Lord
As you begin to arise,
Conquering those doubts that pull you down
And believe who you are in Christ

For you shall surely be transformed
As, in you, God increases more
And become a woman of true excellence
Bringing honour to her Lord.

Let’s embrace our God-given abilities and talents and use them for His glory.
